Myofunctional therapy for children supporting proper breathing and swallowing in Oklahoma

How We Got Here

Oral Myofunctional Therapy of Oklahoma began with Jennifer’s personal journey as a mother. After being told by her children’s pediatrician that her twins’ sleep issues, large tonsils, snoring, and teeth grinding were “normal,” she knew something wasn’t adding up. Determined to find real answers, Jennifer dove into the study of myofunctional therapy—and quickly discovered how life-changing it could be. What started as a mother’s search for solutions has grown into a mission to help families across Oklahoma breathe better, sleep better, and thrive.

Our mission is to support families across Oklahoma by providing gentle, effective myofunctional therapy that helps children and adults breathe easier, sleep deeper, and live healthier, more confident lives.

Meet Jennifer

Founder of Oral Myofunctional Therapy of Oklahoma

Jennifer DeJonge, RDH, OMT graduated from Rose State College’s Dental Hygiene program in 2003. With over 22 years of practicing dental hygiene and working with a sleep and airway trained dentist she began to see the need and importance of myofunctional therapy to treat the root cause of so many issues she was seeing in practice.
After being told by her children’s pediatrician her twins’ sleep issues, large tonsils, snoring and teeth grinding were normal, Jennifer decided studying myofunctional therapy was a necessity. She completed training with Sarah Hornsby’s MyoMentor program and continues taking countless hours of education. As a Oral Myofunctional Therapist, Jennifer provides caring, individualized therapy for patients of all ages with Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders (OMD’s). She is
passionate about prevention and treating OMDs rather than treating just the symptoms.
